Green Drinks on the North Fork...an evening in the vines

Green Drinks is a worldwide networking event that is held monthly in over 500 cities.

Join Ann Marie and Marco Borghese for a special evening in the vines...at Castello di Borghese, the founding estate vineyard for an evening of delicious wines and local food.

A donation of $8 per person (to benefit the local schoolyard garden projects of the East End Chapter of Slow Food) and cash bar for wine. Enjoy wonderful organic treats from Sang Lee Farms, sumptuous desserts from Sweet Home Sensations and those award winning wines from Castello di Borghese.

Visit your favorite tasting room in this beautiful region and purchase a raffle ticket to win a complete Wine Camp experience.

The organizers behind the popular Wine Camp program have teamed with local wineries on the east end to support a program very important to local vineyard managers, winemakers and owners: the Viticulture Program at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. This program, headed by Alice Wise, Viticulturist for CCE Suffolk since 1991, conducts applied research and educational programs for the Long Island wine industry.

In an effort to support our wine family and the community of businesses in the area that thrives on visitors to the wineries, the Wine Camp Team has announced a special fundraiser raffle with exciting prizes. This fundraiser provides an opportunity for the entire community to work together and contribute much needed funding to a valuable resource. The lucky ‘grand prize’ winner will enjoy a complete Wine Camp experience for two, a package valued at over $2000!!

Tickets will be available for purchase in local winery tasting rooms through July 10th, and can be purchased for $10, or five for $40. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older. The grand prize ‘winning ticket’ will be announced during Wine Camp on July 22nd. Second and third place winners will also be awarded, and will receive a basket of Long Island Wines and a Vineyard Tour and Tasting for two. Winners need not be present to win.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their friends to tour Wine Country, purchase Long Island Wines, and chances to attend Wine Camp free of charge, while supporting a very worthy cause. All proceeds will go to the Viticulture Program at Cornell Cooperative Extension in Riverhead, New York.
